Just made this tonite. Very tasty. My recommendations: Use MUCH more O.J. – at least 4 oranges worth. Also, cut down amount of Sambal by half – too spicy for my guests. Add some green – I used broccoli florets, but celery or some kind of sprouts to add a little crunch should work well also…

Could I make this in a salute pan since I don’t have a wok? Which Wok brand do you recommend?

Of course! It will work perfect as well!
The wok and the skillet I use the most(in the video & real life) are T-fal 8inch non stick wok & large nonstick skillet. The wok is Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution line but I haven’t seen for a long time at the market. But you can find similar ones any kitchen stores or online! Oh also, RachelRay brand makes similar one with a lid! ☺️

This came out so delicious exclamation point my one and only complaint is that there were no leftovers After my toddler (who is hit-and-miss on chicken), husband, and I finished eating. We will certainly make this quick and easy dish again but will probably double it next time. Thank you for the great recipe.

Hello Seonkyoung, I was going through Youtube one day looking for Asian recipes to try, and came across your videos. I watched one, then two, and three and so on …. before i knew it almost four hours had passed! Where did the time go? I was so enthralled in you and your funny personality, and easy way of cooking Asian foods at home. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and watching you cook. Your step by step explanation makes cooking super easy, and you being you makes it even more fun to cook.

I come to you at least twice a week trying new recipes. They are so delicious and tasty. Friends who have tasted my food loved it and asked from which Asian restaurant I got it from. They say it tastes much better than the restaurant itself. I agree! I only go to your video’s and recipes now because i know that you will never let me down, everything I tried was just soooooo amazing! Thank you Seonkyoung …. YOU ROCK!!!!

Hi Seonkyoung!! I’ve been watching your videos on Facebook for maybe a year or so and just love them. You & Jacob are so fun!!

I’ve made this recipe quite a few times and love it!! I’m going to make it again tomorrow night, but don’t have quite enough chicken breasts. Can I also add chicken thighs? Will including the thighs with the chicken breasts in the ‘marinade’ be ok??

Thank you so much for sharing all of your awesome recipes with everyone!!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been making this for almost two years now! My family loves it so much. I have tweaked it a little for us. Instead of chili garlic I use sweet chili and sometimes (especially if I want to make this quickly) I substitute 3/4 cup of high-pulp orange juice for the juice of an orange. Sooooo good!

I love Orange Chicken. Found your recipe two days ago and happened to have everything on the ingredients list, so I made it last night. Very easy to make and SOOOOO good! Followed the recipe as written and served over Jasmine rice. Oh yes, I did zest the orange and added the zest into the sauce to give the orange juice a bit more intensity but that was it! Have one more orange so I will make again this week!

The chicken really was tender, I couldn’t believe it! Awesome. And it was so quick – you’d think the chicken had been marinating for 24 hours. For me, the spice level was just right. I did miss having more vegetables. I like green onions, but something like carrots or bell peppers might be nice. The” orangyness” wasn’t as noticeable as I expected, though. I wasn’t sure how orange zest would affect it, and adding more orange juice would probably make the sauce more runny.

This is a great recipe to memorize; just pick up the fresh ingredients and you can whip it up about as fast as anything. Better than anything you can find in the frozen food aisle!

I made this yesterday and it was delicious! Even a relative who was upset that I hadn’t picked the recipe I usually use (chicken in a sweet’n’sour sauce) loved it! I also made your “fried rice” recipe with jasmin rice, peas, edamame, carrots, a red bell pepper and lots of spring onions – delicious and it fit really well!
I used a little bit more than 2 pounds of chicken (1kg) and followed a tip in the comments here to use the juice of 2 oranges/pound (so 4 medium sized ones in total), then also added a Tbsp of honey. The sauce was good but it took a while to cook it down (plus a bit of corn flour), so I’d recommend not using too many oranges but instead maybe reducing the amount of sugar or replacing it with honey.

This was great, I used your exact measurements and I the only thing I would add is zest from the orange for some more orange flavor. It was delicious and had a nice heat without being too sweet. I’ll be making this a lot.
